Make a foam flip chair and fabric sofa to have an extra bed when guests come over. Since the chair is narrow, the bed is ideal for sleepovers for children. It is also a great addition to dorm rooms, often have limited space. To save time, make the foam flip chair pre-cut to size in the store instead of cutting itself. Use a cloth upholstery-weight in the chair so it does not quickly wear.
Cut three pieces of 10-inch thick foam with the correct size using the electric knife. Use the measuring tape to measure and cut the fabric to cover the foam. Cut two pieces of fabric to be used to attach the cushions each other. Lay a piece of fabric 37 by 11 inch flat work surface with the right side up.

Place another piece of 37 by 11 inches on top of it, matching the 11-inch sides. The right sides of the fabric must face each other. Pin along the side 11 inches. Sews the fabric pieces along the sides of 11 inches with a half-inch seam. You must have a “U” of the fabric. Repeat with three more than 37 by 11 inch pieces of fabric.
